The WCG eCentre Programme is an important initiative in the Digital Government Strategy (DGS) for the province which aims to address the digital divide amongst citizens. Access to the internet and digital skills are key enablers of socio-economic developmental programmes that focus on education, skills development, employment, safety, business development, social upliftment, health and wellness.
The Western Cape Government’s (WCG) e-Centres were established as vibrant, connected spaces within historically disadvantaged communities for citizens to access an array of government and other online services.
