The Service Excellence Awards (SEA) Process was initiated at a Provincial Top Management (PTM) meeting. Senior Managers were nominated to form part of the Assessment Team. Head of Departments were nominated to form part of the Adjudication Team.

For WCG Categories: The Adjudicators were selected by the Provincial Top Manager on 23 October 2023, consisting of three (3) Heads of Department, subsequently appointed by the Director-General as depicted below. The Adjudication Session was conducted in March 2024.
For the Municipal Categories: In response to a request, and during a special Department of Local Government Executive meeting, the Adjudicators, as listed in the table below, were selected for the Municipal Categories of the 2023 Service Excellence Awards. Official appointment letters from the Director-General, Department of the Premier Head, were received and accepted by the Adjudicators prior to the scheduled adjudication sessions. The Adjudication Session was conducted on 11 January 2023.
