Swartland Municipality
The Western Cape Department of Police Oversight and Community Safety supported Swartland Municipality to improve community safety by providing grant funding to establish a K9 and LEAP-units that will strengthen its collaborative efforts to curb the transportation of narcotics, explosives and marine poaching resources.
This Units deliver crime prevention through an integrated multidisciplinary model aimed at combatting and preventing criminal activity.
The project demonstrates innovative benefits which caused it to have the competitive edge over other Law Enforcement agencies.
