The EMS Vaxi-Taxi is an equity-centered, mobile vaccination innovation that works with local community leaders, to build trust and take vaccines to low-income neighbourhoods.
The brilliance of this initiative lies in taking services to the most vulnerable, by maximising the material and social resources already available.
The success and simplicity of the Vaxi-Taxi design, led to the team being selected to be the ‘face’ of the vaccine effort in the Western Cape.
