A uniquely designed youth development and violence prevention programme was crafted in partnership with the Chrysalis Academy (who for the past 23 years, has provided positive and holistic youth development), implementing an intensive three-month transformational youth development and training programme.
The CA YWP is innovative as it has proven to be a great success in providing alternative opportunities to youth at risk. Its support is guided by both national and provincial imperatives to address on-going inequality and poverty in communities, high unemployment rates and the unacceptably high crime rate.
